Hi, I’m Elle. Welcome to my complicated world! For a long time, I thought this blog was about the journey to success. I had goals, dreams and plans. I thought I knew where I was going, and I imagined that eventually I’d arrive at some version of the life I’d been working toward, but life had other plans.
Over the years, this little corner of the internet has changed as much as I have. What began as one kind of journey became a place where I could write about grief, relationships, people, emotions, mental health, creativity, uncertainty, dreams, disappointment, growth and all the strange spaces in between.
I’m a writer and storyteller at heart. I’m fascinated by why people become who they become, why we love the people we love, why we stay when we should leave, why we leave when we still care, how people change, and what happens when life forces us to change with it. I write about the things I’m still figuring out. Sometimes they’re thoughtful. Sometimes they’re messy. Sometimes they’re uncomfortable. Sometimes they’re hopeful. But they’re mine. This isn’t a blog about having everything figured out anymore. It’s about being human while you’re figuring it out, no matter how long it takes. And maybe that’s what I’ve been writing about all along.
